Patriarch Athenagoras Youth Ministry Endowment Fund

St. John Chrysostom writes, “With us everything should be secondary compared to our concern with children, and their upbringing in the instruction and teaching of the Lord.”  It is this sentiment that reminds us of the sacred duty to which we are all called. Whether directly or indirectly, each and every individual has the opportunity to impact the lives of our Orthodox youth.

Many people are blessed with talents of creativity and relational skills. Others are blessed with unique spiritual gifts and the ability to share such gifts with children. It is a select few, however, that are blessed with adequate financial resources and the generosity of heart that can significantly benefit the young people of our Orthodox Church.

The Patriarch Athenagoras Youth Ministry Endowment Fund was established in 2005 in order to provide consistent and sufficient funds for the purpose of youth ministry in the Metropolis of Denver. The proceeds generated by the Endowment are utilized for various purposes, including event registration scholarships, resource development, and activity logistics.

At no time, and in no way, has Orthodox Christianity promoted its faith and teaching through coercion or force.  Rather, Orthodoxy is a faith of invitation and receptiveness. In this spirit of openness, you are now invited to share in a considerable manner, a gift for the Patriarch Athenagoras Youth Ministry Endowment Fund to benefit the young people of our Orthodox Church for years to come. With prayer and discernment we ask that you answer this high calling.
