Camp Emmanuel Camp Emmanuel

Greetings in Christ,

After consulting with His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah, several medical experts, the Archdiocese, and Manzano Mountain Retreat, it has been made clear that the public health and economic impacts caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic are expected to reach well into the summer. Therefore, it is with heavy hearts that we have come to the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Camp Emmanuel program.

We will be issuing refunds for anyone who has registered as soon as possible.

We also expect the Archdiocese to address the status of all GOA camping programs during Bright Week.

While our beloved youth, dedicated clergy and staff, and greater Camp Emmanuel family will be sorely missed, we hope to see you all back in the summer of 2021.

We pray that our loving Lord keeps you all safe and healthy in these trying times.

In Christ,

   Jenny Stasinopoulos, Director

Each year Camp Emmanuel offers participants an opportunity to retreat away from everyday life and to gain experience in a nurturing Orthodox Christian community.  Camp Emmanuel utilizes the Manzano Mountain Retreat facility in Torreon, New Mexico, outside of Albuquerque.

Camp Emmanuel offers two, one-week sessions each summer: one Junior Session and one Senior Session.  The Junior session is for young people ages 11-14 years, and the Senior Session for ages 15-18 years.

Junior Session campers must turn eleven years old prior to October 1, 2020.  Likewise, fourteen-year-old campers who will be fifteen years of age prior to October 1, 2020, are considered eligible to participate in the Senior session of Camp Emmanuel.
