Camp Emmanuel

Each summer, the Metropolis of Denver offers Camp Emmanuel, giving our teens an opportunity to retreat away from everyday life and to grow in a nurturing Orthodox Christian community. We are not escaping reality, but rather offering a glimpse of the very real Life of Christ in the Church, so that our participants can carry this vision home, to live out the liturgy in their daily lives. Participants are divided by age into cabins of 12-20 campers each, thoughtfully led by a minimum of two trained young adult staff members. We leave technology behind, and live in the moment, in community. Our days are filled with classic summer camp experiences – zip lines and silly competitions, funny games and late night chats, song competitions, campfires and s’mores, prayer services and silent moments connecting with God in His beautiful creation. At Camp Emmanuel, we cherish our tradition of building deep, lifelong faith and friendships, and we invite you to become a part of our community.
