Ministries of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denver Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries include:

The Camp Emmanuel program provides youth ages 11-18 an opportunity to step a way from daily challenges and struggles for a week aimed at strengthening their relationship with Christ.

The annual Basketball Event is held in January over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.  This event, with GOYAns and family members from throughout the Metropolis, is the largest gathering of any kind in the Metropolis and offers an atmosphere of Christian fellowship and friendly competition.

Orthodoxy Outdoors is a small group experience for young adults which offers spiritual growth in the context of God's creation.  The backpacking/camping trips focus on group discussion and personal reflection.

The Saint John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival provides Greek Orthodox teenagers the opportunity to write and talk about their faith. The Oratorical Festival has two divisions: junior (ages 11-14) and senior (ages 15-18). One junior and one senior speaker from each parish of the Metropolis is eligible to participate in the Metropolis Festival. In turn, the top Metropolis speakers then participate at the Archdiocese level.

  • Regional Retreats

Regional GOYA retreat weekends take place in the Fall and during the period of Great Lent in different areas of the Metropolis.  These retreats give participants a short escape which provides spiritual sustenance and rejuvination.
